Year 6 - Kensuke's Kingdom

Hey!

I bet anything that all of you love adventures. In films, in books, in amusement parks, in scape-rooms... I like to think that the story I am about to introduce you is going to be one of this kind of adventurous thing that you love.

It's called, as you saw on the title, "Kensukes Kingdom" and it goes about a family that make a boat trip around the world. If you want to know where they stop at, you will have to read it. We can establish a pact: We read in class the first two chapters, then you read the two next ones, and we do that until the end.

You can download the complete story by clicking HERE. I really think you are going to enjoy it; or you can listen to it here:

When we finish the book, we will be doing an activity. We are going to create our own route map online.

First, we are going to create one together with the places Michael's family stopped at, and then everybody will create their ideal route map with the places they would like to visit if they do a trip around the world. In that case, you have to explain to the class where are those places, what can you visit there and why would you like to go there.

At the end of the lesson, everybody will share their routes with their mates so we can improve our personal routes.

You can create both maps in tripline.net .

I am very excited to know where would you go if you had the opportunity, and you?

See you tomorrow!
